Phase 1 — St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands

St. Croix has always been a meeting place — a kallaloo of culture, talent, and stories from every corner of the Caribbean. For years, our youth have carried the skill, the rhythm, and the desire to grow… but not always the access. Across the region, millions play the game, yet only a small fraction ever reach proper coaching, structure, or a pathway beyond their island.

Phase 1 lays the foundation for a football academy rooted in community, education, and opportunity. What we start here will grow to serve youth across the Caribbean and connect them to the wider world, one step, one island, and one young player at a time.

Meet the Founder

Jabari Garibaldi reflects the power of opportunity, movement, and community. Growing up in an under-resourced environment, he saw how limited access to education, structure, and safe spaces could hold young people back.

At 17, he graduated early and left home to pursue football abroad — a journey shaped by sacrifice, culture, and the mentors who opened doors when few existed.

Today, he pours that experience into Imala Academy, building pathways for youth across the Caribbean through football, education, and mentorship. With over a decade of work in athletics and community development, Jabari remains committed to creating opportunities where they’ve been missing — helping the next generation rise and succeed with purpose.
